The Zoota electric bike is an affordable, reliable vehicle that’s suitable for riders between 8 and 80 – with no licence required.

The Zoota is battery-powered, with a lithium ion battery that takes about 4 1/2 hours to charge, using a normal 220V socket. A full charge will give you about 25km of travel at a top speed of 25km/h.

If you happen to run out of battery power, the Zoota converts to a normal six-speed Shimano geared bicycle. The battery has no memory block, so it can be topped up rather than having to wait until it is completely depleted.

The cost per charge is about 25 cents. Compared to 25 cents of fuel, the Zoota is a far more economical choice, even before you factor in the environmental cost of carbon emissions on a fuel-powered vehicle. The battery is removable, with a convenient fold up handle, so you don’t have to carry the bike indoors or struggle with extension cords to charge the battery.

Because the Zoota is noise- and pollution-free, it is ideal for residential and golf estates, marinas, boomed-off areas and game park estates. Take it on holiday so the children can explore on their own – the Zoota folds up quickly and easily to fit into most car boots, so you can take it anywhere.
